Dear Dancers,
Thank you for your presence in Fall 2026 Waltzing Wednesdays. It has been an honor dancing with each of you. I hope that you continue to enjoy traditional ballroom dance for years to come and spread the word to your friends. Now, here are a few final details to close things out:
1 – Order of Dances
Please take a look at the order of dances for this ball. As the evening progresses, keep an eye on the time to be in place for our showcases.
2 – Dance Run-Through
Our ability to do dance run-throughs before the ball is dependent on how my sound engineer is doing with his setup and how the band is doing with sound checks. However, if you arrive right at 6:00 p.m., when doors open, we should be able to sneak in at least one practice waltz. Thank you for your understanding.
3 – Practice Waltz Music for Competition
Here is a good album of slow waltzes for the waltz improve competition. If you are selected to go on to the finals, expect to dance to a faster waltz. 🙂
4 – Quadrille Fun!
Finally, our team dance competition will be the fifth figure of Lancer’s Quadrille. I was delighted to find this video of the king and queen of Denmark dancing quadrilles only a few years ago.
Thank you again for a great semester!
Anna
